Technica LLC is seeking qualified Maintenance Inspectors to perform work on a Government contract in Bagram, Afghanistan. This position works 11 hours a day, 7 days a week while in Afghanistan. Technica pays for 28 days of R&R annually. This position also pays an annual completion bonus and offers benefit options.

Essential Duties:

  • Performs inspections on different classifications of wheel vehicles/equipment at the unit and DS/GS level.

  • Conducts initial inspections upon delivery of equipment and records data information for the processing of maintenance work orders, in-progress inspection as required during the repair phase of the vehicle or component, and a final inspection upon completion of maintenance repaired to ensure quality product outputs are met.

  • Prepare records of inspection/tests and makes them available to the QA/QC Department.

  • Verifies procedures being used are adequate for the effective control of quality, rejects defective workmanship and materials, verify and certify the test results on supporting documents.

  • Provides guidance and technical assistance to shop maintenance personnel, inspection principles on workmanship, procedures to be employed, and quality of work expected.

  • Ensures compliance with government and corporate regulations, company‚Äôs SOP, directives, and technical manuals to establish and maintain a quality management program.

  • Maintains cross-talk with QA and LAR representatives.

  • Coordinates with Shop Supervisor when technical problems arise and in-dept mechanical knowledge is required.

  • Cross trains when required to ensure maximum flexibility and possess technical skills in the development and maintenance of quality programs.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • 4 years experience as a US Army or equivalent civil service in diesel/automobile maintenance and inspection both Unit and DS/GS level maintenance, required.

  • Must be able to obtain the Tire industry of America (TIA) certification within a designated time frame.

  • Must be able to pass a PQS test within 30 days of accepting the position.

  • Use of diagnostic tools and forms used at the unit and DS/GS level.

  • Must be able to read vehicle schematics.

  • Requires a collaborative work style, fostering cooperation, and team work.

  • Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.

  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a government security clearance, if required.

  • Must be able to complete all medical requirements prior to proceeding to CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) processing.

  • Must have High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

  • Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively during a 77 hour work week.

  • Must be able to lift 25 Lbs continuously, 50 Lbs intermittently.

  • Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures. Work is located in a combat zone.

  • Must be able to maintain cleanliness and good hygiene practices to include hand-washing, bathing, and personal care routines.
