ManTech Field Service Technician (Journeyman) - CIED in FPO, Afghanistan


The CREW/DUKE V2/V3 Field Service Technician must be capable of constructing breadboard interface circuitry (digital, analog, and hybrid circuits), special cabling, etc. in support of system test bed/development facilities and for special system/software test fixtures. Must possess sufficient technical electronics knowledge and experience to perform above construction from preliminary sketches/design information furnished by project engineer. Digital/hybrid/analog electronics technician is required. Military experience is highly desirable.

The CREW/DUKE V2/V3 Field Service Technician will be primarily working DUKE V2 EA and GATOR V2 configurations in Afghanistan. They will initially be involved with the training and fielding of the systems. Once fielding is complete, they will become system software maintainers and will be responsible for these variations as well as the current configurations in OEF.


Must be capable of performing analysis of system operations. Must have knowledge of and experience in the operations of hardware systems and components. Must have experience in fault detection, isolation, and correction of hardware systems and individual components. Must be capable of routine system maintenance and analysis functions including: hardware configurations; adding, removing and replacing hardware components; use of hardware and software diagnostic testing tools; reading of electronic circuit schematics; and repairing printed circuit boards. A minimum of two (2) years experience in performing similar or related work in the functional area to which assigned is required. Military experience is desirable.

o Reviews software and architecture products for requirement and functionality compliancy

o Analyzes software change impact; requirements traceability

o Develops software test plans and support test execution

o Supports and conducts software review and development

Other Skills:

• IAT 2 Security + and Windows 7 Cert

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering, computer Science, Systems, or related scientific /technical discipline, and three years experience.

• Secret clearance or ability of obtain a secret clearance

• Previous Counter Remote Control Improvised Explosive Device (RCIED) Electronic Warfare (CREW) experience required

• Ability to handle stress and work well under pressure
