DynCorp International LLC. ONSC Senior Strategic Senior Mentor in KABUL, Afghanistan

Job Summary

Office of National Security Council (ONSC) Senior Strategic Senior Mentor shall directly advise GEN Loudin, MG Ahmadi as well as several of the BGs that work within the ONSC and Afghan National Defense Security Force (ANDSF).

Principal Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with other Resolute Support (RS) Counter Improvised Explosive Device (CIED) advisors such as:
  • RS CIED MoD Advisory Lead
  • RS CIED MoI Advisory Lead
  • RS CIED ANDSF Training Lead
  • RS CIED ANDSF IED Exploitation Lead
  • RS CIED ANDSF IED / ECM Equipment Lead
  • Contracted CIED personnel
  • Contracted Intelligence Analysts and Operations Integrators
  • Tasked with conducting / facilitating / leading the following:
  • Biweekly strategic coordination meetings with ONSC
  • Monthly working group meetings with the CIED pillar leads
  • Quarterly Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (GIRoA) strategy work groups to review CIED progress and address issues
  • Ad-hoc Key Leader Engagements (KLE) to resolve major organizational issues and challenges
  • RS CIED internal planning meetings
  • CSTC-A cross EF/Directorate planning meetings
  • ANET reports related to all TAA engagements
  • Must be able to translate during key leader engagements with senior Afghan officials
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Fluency in Dari, Pashto and English
  • Existing relationships with senior level ANDSF leadership (i.e. General Officers)
  • Existing relationships with senior GIRoA officials
  • Ability to effectively create and communicate the results of studies and analyses for senior coalition and ANDSF officials via written reports, briefings and presentations
  • General knowledge of the ASFF and NATO Trust Fund (NATFO) budgeting process; previous experience developing projects briefs and implementing ASFF/NATFO funded projects
  • Automated data processing knowledge including working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, email and web browsers

Experience & Education

  • Eight (8) years of experience developing and/or implementing Counter-IED strategy and policies
  • Three (3) years of experience working with ISAF and/or RS
  • Bachelor’s degree (US or Afghan)
  • Existing relationships with senior level ANDSF leadership (i.e. General Officers)
  • Existing relationships with senior GIRoA officials
  • Ability to effectively create and communicate the results of studies and analyses for senior coalition and ANDSF officials via written reports, briefings and presentations
  • General knowledge of the ASFF and NATO Trust Fund (NATFO) budgeting process; previous experience developing projects briefs and implementing ASFF/NATFO funded projects
  • Automated data processing knowledge including working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, email and web browsers
  • Must have a final (not interim) DoD SECRET Level Security Clearance before deployment and maintain that clearance.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

  • Must pass all medical and fitness requirements directed by US Central Command (CENTCOM) in order to deploy.
  • Must be able to operate in harsh and austere conditions of Afghanistan

Travel

  • Must be capable of daily travel in and around Kabul as well as to locations throughout Afghanistan.
