Job Description Title:CAD Manager
This position provides production CAD support to in-house Architects and Engineers and requires that candidates have a minimum of
5 years of experience in CAD.
•Provide production CAD support (AutoCAD) to in-house Architects and Engineers (Mech./Elect./Structural)
•Fluent in model space and paper space concepts.
•Thorough in SCALES (US &Metric)
•Develop, implement and enforce CAD Standards (Text, Callouts, Layers, Scales, Linetypes, Line weights etc.), and file organization
•Provide leadership and vision to the firm in the area of CAD
•Provide training and supervision of in-house CAD users
•Provide support for plotting and electronic file submissions
•Supply technical support for all CAD related software
•Maintain CAD document archive and retrieval for projects
•Archive completed projects
•Primary point of contact for client CAD interface.
•Order & maintain print & plotter supplies
•Customize CAD programs and pen/plotting settings
•Project Record Drawings and Project Close-out documentation
•Incorporate Contractor Redlines into CAD files Cleanup CAD files for project close-out
•Fluent, in MS office package, (MS word, Excel, Powerpoint, snipping tool etc.)
•Frequent field visits will be necessary for drawing revisions.
Position may be located in a war zone in a contingency environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions, including lifting and carrying 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time. To ensure safety, health, and security measures within the contract are met, all employees shall be literate in English (read, write, speak and understand).
Living conditions on the project are most likely austere. The most austere sleeping may be in environmentally conditioned tents on “Army type” cots. Restrooms and showers may be 250 feet or further from sleeping quarters. Laundry service for 15 pounds twice per week is commonly provided. Meals are provided at regular intervals in cafeteria or “dining facility” style environment. The living area will most likely have constant hum of generators or similar equipment nearby.

Basic Job Requirements Education: College Degree with Science as Major OR Diploma holder in Architectural or building utility systems items.
Preferred Qualifications - Prior Military and/or Contingency Operations experience preferred.
