The S4 Logistics & Property Book Trainer/Mentor will Train, Advise, and Assist (TAA) the GSU S4 sections to conduct property management procedures IAW Decree 4.2; follow basic policies and procedures applicable to property book accountability, record all weapons and major equipment belonging to the unit; perform, consolidate, and submit monthly sensitive items, explosives, and hazardous items reports; TAA the GSU G$ Section in Logistic opperations IAW (Decree 4.2, 5), (Decree 4.2, 5-9), (Decree 4.2, 6) and (Decree 4.2, 7.2).
The S4 mentor shall have background in US military logistics operations, served in the grade of E7 or higher or O-3 or higher, and have experience in logistical management at the brigade-equivalent level or higher within the last 10 years. Shall have served in at least one of the military occupational specialties of 88, 90, 91, 92 series or service component equivalent. * Must be able to pass CENTCOM medical, dental and other CRC-related deployment requirements at an approved CRC
Must continue to maintain CENTCOM Mod 13 and other deployment-related requirements for the Afghanistan theater of operations
Must be in possession of a current/active US tourist Passport with at least 6 months of remaining eligibility
Must be able to receive and maintain a current/active Afghanistan visa
Must be in possession of and maintain an appropriate-level current/active security clearance with eligibility to receive/maintain a NATO clearance for the duration of the deployment
Must be willing to work and live in austere and hostile environments in Afghanistan, and understanding of the possibility to be further assigned to any location in Afghanistan, as allowed by the contract
Must be willing and able to travel outside of protected areas via military convoys or MILAIR, and wear protective clothingand equipment, as required. Force protection will be provided by authorized sources.
Must have the demonstrated ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing
