Manage, supervise, schedule and direct training of crew members in order to safely and effectively provide aviation support services to the Department of State in OCONUS locations. Assign and oversee missions as directed by the Country/Site Operations Manager in direct support of the U.S. Department of State (DoS) mission requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and lead RW Flight Crews.
Perform missions but not limited to: Air Transport, Reconnaissance and Security, Casualty Evacuations, Quick Reaction Force Movement and Support.
Mission tasks require aerial gunnery and escort of ground forces.
Fly both single and multi-ship day, night, and Night Vision Goggle (NVG) missions; primarily under visual meteorological conditions.
Maintain NVG currency and Instrument proficiency.
Perform duties as a Pilot, Pilot-in- Command, Air Mission Commander, Flight Lead, or Lead Pilot
Perform routine OCONUS travel and within CONUS travel as required.
Position requires a U.S. Department of State Secret Clearance
Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/ CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
High school diploma or GED.
FAA Commercial and Instrument Airman’s Certificate Rotorcraft Helicopter.
FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
FAA CFI/CFI. (Preferred)
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
2,500 total rotary wing flight hours including 1000 hours of turbine engine time.
Night Vision Goggle (NVG) qualified and 300 hours of NVG experience.
Two (2) years managing a flight operations program.
Prior IP, MP, SP or ME qualification in the US Military and/or the DoS INL/A program.
Qualification in the applicable aircraft, UH-1H/H2/N/ST, CH-46E/BV-107, MD-530F, S-61.
