Perform routine acceptance test of aircraft following corrective maintenance. Responsible for all matters pertaining to maintenance operations. Ensure maintenance of all aircraft are in compliance set forth by appropriate maintenance manuals, operations directives, FAA compliance directives and contractual readiness rates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Proficient in international flight operations and environments; day, night, NVG and IFR conditions.
Successfully complete all no-notice flight evaluations and exams in the primary aircraft.
Remain fully qualified in aircraft and perform as a crew member when necessary.
Test aircraft to determine compliance with specification and operational suitability.
Operate models of test aircraft during engineering flight tests, production acceptance, and flight test support through specifically prescribed tests and maneuvers.
Coordinate flight operations efforts.
Approve cockpit configuration.
Conduct demonstration flights with customers, government officials, or other personnel aboard to exhibit aircraft performance, flying qualities and system capabilities.
Oversee maintenance operations, test fly and trouble shoot, manage maintenance flow.
Perform routine travel OCONUS and within CONUS as required.
Position requires a U.S. Department of State Secret Clearance
Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/ CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
High school diploma or GED.
FAA Commercial and Instrument Airman’s Certificate Rotorcraft Helicopter.
FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
Documented civil or military maintenance test pilot course completion.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
2,500 total rotary wing flight hours including 1000 hours of turbine engine time.
Night Vision Goggle (NVG) qualified and 300 hours of NVG experience.
100 hours maintenance pilot time.
Prior US Military MP/ME pilot and/or support on the DoS INL/A program.
Qualification in the applicable aircraft, UH-1H/H2/N/ST, CH-46E/BV-107, MD-530F, S-61.
