Raytheon MAY BE ARMED: G2 Trainer/Mentor - SOB AOB-N in Afghanistan

Job Description: The Special Operations Brigade G2 Trainer/Advisor/Mentor shall implement and operate programs, practices, and procedures for developing optimal utilization of personnel to Train, Advise, Assist and Mentor (TAAM) the Afghan Special Operations Forces in intelligence functions necessary to receive, process, produce and provide intelligence support to the Special Operations Brigade (SOB) of the Afghan National Army Special Operations Command (ANASOC). The SOB G2 Advisor will design and administer programs to TAAM all levels of personnel with intelligence functions and integrate between the SOB & ANASOC. The SOB G2 Advisor will develop tests and visual aids in order to assist with the TAAM process of all subordinate organization staff sections on their duties and responsibilities. The TAAM process include, but not limited to the following: Targeting Operations IOT operationalize the deliberate targeting process; fusion between G-3 Operations and G2 Intelligence in the targeting cycle and target planning activities enabling the SOB to make recommendations and produce target products; intelligence disciplines applicable for Afghanistan sustainable and unilateral intelligence capabilities to include but not limited to HUMINT, GEOINT, OSINT, and All-Source. Assist with development of an intelligence cycles necessary to carry out various operations such as Find, Fix, Finish, Exploit, Analyze, and Disseminate (F3EAD) for targeting. Monitor partnered force operations and actively assists or provide training and direction as needed. Create, maintain and deliver to the TL & DPM to include all reporting requirements and data/information for monthly performance review and training reports. Required Hours: Work may include nights, holidays, and weekends on short notice. Standard will be to conduct training six (6) days per week for up to ten (10) hours per day while at OCONUS work site(s) and a standard 40 hour work week while at CONUS work sites. Responsibilities: Responsible for the application of the Train Advise Assist and Mentor Model that supports the training and development of the staff. Implement ANASOC best practices as appropriate to support the SOB G2 section development. Will report to the Team Leader on site and Deputy Program Manager located at Camp Vance, Bagram AF. Responsible for regularly interacting with US military personnel along with their local site managers, trainers will be responsible for assessing how well the ANASOC students have learned the coursework. Shall Train, Advise, Assist and Mentor Afghan Soldiers on the following but not limited to: SOB G2 Training IAW respective program of instruction for staff functions associated with battalion and brigade level intelligence tactics, techniques and procedures. Multi-echelon staff integration and intelligence support to Brigade and Battalion level exercises and forward command post establishment. Instruct at the following levels: Battalion and Brigade G2. Integration of intelligence reports from multiple sources and production of intelligence collection plans using organic Afghan National Army collection methods and procedures. Required Qualifications: Former E7/CW2/O3 with 6-10 years’ experience in the intelligence field. Previous military occupational skill of 18F, 35 or service equivalent. Must be able to competently operate a Personal Computer to include excellent skills with MS Office (Word, PPT, Excel, etc.) Excellent Leadership, Organizational and Project Management Skills Excellent Interpersonal and People Skills Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills Ability to plan and organize work, analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data and recognize solutions. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Must have an active Secret Security Clearance Must be able to obtain a Visa for Afghanistan Must possess a US Passport with at least 6 months of remaining eligibility Physical & Mental Requirements: This may become an ARMED position. Must obtain and maintain eligibility to possess & operate a firearm in Afghanistan (AFG). Must successfully complete/maintain all arming requirements including but not limited to: psychological evaluation; completion of Civilian Arming Authorization Mgmt System (CAAMS) requirements/documentation & Arming Authorization Letter from US Forces AFG; and Afghan weapons permit from the Afghan Ministry of the Interior Wear required personal protective gear: body armor, helmet, etc.; Independently lift/carry duffle bags with a max weight of 70 lbs/piece & move across uneven terrain Work & live in AFG with potential assignment to any location in AFG based upon needs of the U.S. Government or the Company Meet medical requirements for position as determined by a pre-employment medical screening in compliance with published CRC and USCENTCOM medical deployment standards Walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces up to 8 hours/day & sit for up to 3 hours/day; climb/descend stairs; grasp or handle objects; use finger dexterity; bend elbows/knees; reach above/below shoulders; read/interpret typewritten print; communicate by voice & detect sound by ear Work, live & respond to a wide variety of operational circumstances in a potentially hostile environment - at remote locations, under austere conditions - with extreme aircraft noise, hostile fire, other acts of aggression and/or extreme weather conditions Maintain emotional stability & behavioral composure, performing effectively during stressful situations Comply with orders, laws, rules & regulations Reliably complete tasks & duties with minimal supervision Appropriately modify behavior & demeanor to meet demands of a situation and mitigate risk to protect safety Refrain from using alcohol/substances inappropriately Aware of own limits; accept constructive feedback Solve difficult/complex problems Apply knowledge/reasoning & balance the risks/benefits when making decisions Multi-task without negatively impacting performance Maintain high standards of work Communicate clearly Engage as an active team member Be Respectful of diversity Security Clearance Requirement: Must have an Active/Current DoD SECRET security clearance Desired Qualifications: Prefer SOB G2 Advisor with previous assignments in Armor, Infantry and/or Special Operations units, as well as experience at the Battalion/Squadron level or equivalent. Prefer previous experience training and advising foreign military soldiers. 12 months experience in Afghanistan preferred. Previous experience as an Observer/Controller Trainer for G2 functions at a Combat Training Center. Required Education: Bachelor's degree from accredited school & six (6) years of related experience, OR four (4) years related experience with Master's degree. Eight (8) years of additional equivalent work experience (14 total years) may be accepted in lieu of BA/BS education requirement.
